In Italy, food is very important and the table is the centre of every social activity. The current lifestyle, however, pushed into the background what used to be a priority: finding some time to taste a good dish and a good glass of wine with your closest friends or family members.
“My intention is to hand down what I have leant since I was a little boy when I spent most part of the day in the large family kitchen. At the beginning I just watched, but later I started to help my grandmothers and my mother in the preparation of the daily food and during the most important festivities as well, when all our relatives and friends gathered in our house to sit around the big table, still there in our dining room.

Our cooking classes aim at:

- providing you with the basic instruments to recognize and buy only fresh, genuine, high quality ingredients in season, produced in full respect of producer and consumer.

- teaching how to prepare simple meal of our tradition.

These two points, which may seems obvious, are the basic principles for the success of every dish”.

The Cooking School at Agriturismo Le Caggiole is inspired by the great passion of the Martinelli Family for cooking and for traditional flavours. Giacomo, with the help of his wife Cristiana or Nonna Ornella, according to the proposed menu, offers courses for those who want to learn the secrets of Tuscan cooking, but also for those who want to spend a couple of hours in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. After a short introduction and some explanations about ingredients, we will wear our aprons and we will put our fingers in the dough (with the help of modern instruments as well), to prepare recipes that you can easily repeat at and to exchange experiences, comments, and questions. Lessons will be over approximately one hour before dinner that will be served in our beautiful panoramic terrace or at the large table of our dining room.
Type of lessons: guests will have the possibility to cook at least two of the main courses in the dinner menu: the choice will be decided at our discretion according to the times of preparation.

Dietary requirements and food allergies: on booking guests are kindly requested to advise any dietary requirement and/or food allergy. We will do our best to prepare a menu suitable for all the class members.
Courses can vary in length, from a minimum of one single class to several days, each of them devoted to antipasti, first courses, second courses, vegetables or dessert.

Number of participants: from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 persons: the reduced number of participants will allow us to devote all our attention to every single class member.

Periods: classes are available from March to October included, on request only. In order to organize the different activities of the farm (harvesting, olive picking, etc.), we reserve the right to make small changes in the calendare of the classes you have booked. All changes will be arranged with our guests on arrival.

: on booking you will have to pay a confirmation deposit of 1/3 of the total amount. The balance is to be paid locally on departure.

Prices: Single lesson € 90,00 per person; 3 lessons € 250,00 per person.

Cancellation Policy: cancellation fees will apply as follows:
Cancellation more than 50 days before arrival: no loss
Cancellation from 49 up to 30 days before arrival:: 33% of the total amount
Cancellation from 29 up to 10 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount
Cancellation from 9 up to 1 day before arrival: 75% of the total amount
No-show or cancellation after arrival: 100% of the total amount.
